Schedule Daily Shopify Order Exports to Google Sheets
Streamline order tracking by scheduling a daily export of Shopify orders into Google Sheets. This MESA workflow template works with the “Organize Shopify Orders by Order Date” template, storing orders for easy export on a set schedule. Simplify data management, improve organization, and save time by eliminating manual order tracking with automated, daily updates to Google Sheets.
🛑 Before you get started with this workflow setup, it is required to have the Organize Shopify Orders by Order Date template installed, fully setup, and turned on first.
Once you have it fully set up, continue with the setup for this workflow.
🔧 Setup is needed:

Follow the steps below to set up this workflow.
Step 1
In the Data Custom SQL Query step, change the text Add table name here to your table name.
For example, change FROM "Add table name here" to From "Shopify Orders". Your table name may be different in this
Step 2
In the Google Sheets Create New Spreadsheet step, connect your Google Sheets account with MESA. Click Sign in with Google.
If you have already connected your Google Sheets account, make sure it is selected from the drop-down menu.
Step 3
At the top of or below the workflow, click the Save changes button to save your changes.
Step 4
At the top or bottom of the page, switch Off to On to turn on your workflow to start automating.
Tips
This workflow is scheduled to run at 12am daily. You can take a look at the Schedule trigger (first step) of the workflow.
It is recommended that orders are collected the day before with the Organize Shopify Orders by Order Date template. Then allowing this workflow to run after orders are collected.
Optional Customizations
You can specify a folder if you would like your spreadsheets to be saved in that folder.
In your Google Drive account, create a new folder, and open it. Take a look at the URL which will look like https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1O94BvZNUhyKQ8X6CvLUbotWNFVWol_Gh. After the /folders/ part of the URL, copy the set of numbers and characters. In this example, this is 1O94BvZNUhyKQ8X6CvLUbotWNFVWol_Gh.
Open the Google Sheets Create New Spreadsheet step. Click More Fields and select the Folder field. Fill this field with the copied value.
If you make any of these optional customizations, please click the Save changes button again afterwards to save your changes.
