Manage Odoo Products from Shopify Updates

Maintain consistency between Shopify and Odoo by syncing product details seamlessly. This MESA workflow template triggers whenever a Shopify product is updated, creating the product and variants in Odoo if they don’t exist or updating existing entries with the latest changes. Eliminate the need for manual updates across platforms, saving time and ensuring accurate, up-to-date product information in both systems.

Follow the steps below to set up this workflow.

Step 1

In the Odoo Get all products step, locate the Authenticate section. Create a new connection to link your Odoo account with MESA.

If you have already created a connection, it is already selected in the drop-down menu and you can skip to step 11.

Step 2

Add your domain to the Domain field. The Domain will look similar to: https://mycompany.odoo.com

Please make sure that you do not have a forward slash at the end of the Domain: /

If the Odoo database name is different from the domain itself, fill in the Database field. Otherwise, leave blank.

Step 3

In your Odoo account, you can locate the Username and Password by clicking Settings from your Odoo Apps page.

Step 4

From Settings, locate General Settings.

Then click Users, and then click on Manage Users.

Step 5

Select the checkbox next to the user that you want to connect MESA with.

Step 6

Click on Actions (gear icon) and then Change Password.

Step 7

If your user does not have an existing password, enter a New Password and then Change Password.

Step 8

If a password is already set, copy the email address under User Login

Go back to MESA and paste it in the Username field.

Step 9

Copy the user's password.

Go back to MESA and paste it into the Password field.

Step 10

Click the Add Connection button.

At the top or bottom of the workflow, click the Save Changes button to save your changes.

Step 13

Scroll to the top and click on the Shopify Product Updated trigger. Click on Test. 

Select any existing product that has been updated and click Test workflow. This will allow you to test the workflow. Please note this is using an existing product from your Shopify Admin.

Step 14

At the top or bottom of the page, switch Off to On to turn on your workflow to start automating.

Any new product updates will automatically trigger this workflow.
