Update Odoo Products When Etsy Listings Change

Simplify product management by keeping Etsy and Odoo seamlessly aligned. When you update a listing on Etsy, MESA automatically creates the corresponding product in Odoo if it doesn't already exist. For existing products, MESA will update Odoo products with the updates made to the Etsy listing, ensuring consistent product information across both platforms without the need for manual updates.

Follow the steps below to set up this workflow.

Step 1

In the Etsy Active Listing Updated trigger, click Connect with Etsy.

A pop-up will display. Log into your Etsy store if you are not currently log in. Read the next page with the connection details. Click Grant Access.

If you have already connected Etsy with MESA, it is already selected in the drop-down menu. You can skip this step and continue to the next step.

Step 2

In the Configure section of the Etsy Receipt Created trigger, you will see that the trigger is set up to check every hour.

In the Shop ID field, check that the correct store is selected. Otherwise, select the correct store. Click Done.

Step 3

In the Odoo List Variant step, create a new Credential to link your Odoo account with MESA.

If you have already created a Credential, it is already selected in the drop-down menu and you can skip to step 13.

Step 4

Add your domain to the Domain field. The Domain will look similar to: https://mycompany.odoo.com

Please make sure that you do not have a forward slash at the end of the Domain: /

If the Odoo database name is different from the domain itself, fill in the Database field. Otherwise, leave blank.

Step 5

In your Odoo account, you can locate the Username and Password by clicking Settings from your Odoo Apps page.

Step 6

From Settings, locate General Settings.

Then click Users, and then click on Manage Users.

Step 7

Select the checkbox next to the user that you want to connect MESA with.

Step 8

Click on Actions (gear icon) and then Change Password.

Step 9

If your user does not have an existing password, enter a New Password and then Change Password.

Step 10

If a password is already set, copy the email address under User Login

Go back to MESA and paste it in the Username field.

Step 11

Copy the user's password.

Go back to MESA and paste it into the Password field.

Step 12

Click the Add Credential button.

Step 13

Click the Retrieve Fields button in the Configure section for these 5 steps.
- Odoo Create Product
- Odoo Update Product

Step 14

At the top or bottom of the workflow, click the Save Changes button to save your changes.

Step 15

At the top or bottom of the page, switch Off to On to turn on your workflow to start automating.

With a frequency to check every hour, any updated listings will automatically trigger this workflow.
